Kerry’s Approach to Nurturing a Lifelong Love for Piano

Kerry’s first and foremost goal is to instill a love of music in her students. She believes that learning the piano should be a stress free, enjoyable process. Kerry currently teaches students from ages 4-70. Lessons are specifically designed to meet the needs of each individual student. Kerry believes that each student learns differently and she works to foster the learning process and encourage the growth of each budding pianist. She loves teaching!

History

Kerry Weber received her Bachelors in Music Education in 1978 from the University of Kansas. Since that time she has been teaching music both privately and in school settings in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Delaware and Pennsylvania. Kerry has a passion for music education, specifically piano.

FAQs

Do I need a piano to take lessons?

Yes, you will need a piano or digital piano in order to practice between lessons. A digital piano must have 88 full sized weighted keys that are touch/velocity sensitive.

How long are lessons?

I offer both ½ hour and 45 minutes lessons.

How much do lessons cost?

$30 per half hour lesson, payable monthly.

What happens if I have to miss a lesson?

I require 48 hours notice in order to reschedule or credit, with the exception of illness, emergency or bad weather.

Do you offer any festival/performance opportunities?

In addition to a yearly recital, students have the opportunity to participate in both the Theory and Piano Festivals. The festivals are sponsored by the Delaware State Music Teachers Association.

I really love technology. Do you use it in your studio?

Yes! While I don’t require each student to own an iPad I do use it frequently during lessons to reinforce musical concepts.

Where do the lessons take place?

At my home or online via FaceTime or Google Meet.
